Tree removal

Taken down in sections where there is no room to drop it, every piece lowered past the roof and the fence.

Height and spread taken off a tree that has outgrown the yard, cut back to branches that can carry the regrowth.

Questions
Asked before anything is booked
Do I need council approval to remove a tree in Cairns?
Possibly. An owner who wants to remove vegetation on their own property may need a Development Permit for Operational Works under CairnsPlan, and the plan counts a private tree greater than 7.5m in height as significant. The permits page sets out what council lets you do without council approval.
Who does the work?
An independent tree contractor. They look at the tree, quote the job and do it, and your agreement is with them. This site takes enquiries and passes them on; nobody here climbs trees.
Should I get trees looked at before the wet season?
It is the usual time. Work done in a dry spell is easier and safer than the same job after a cyclone has loosened things, and most pruning is on council's list of work an owner can do without council approval.
Can the stump stay?
Yes. Cutting it low and leaving it costs less than grinding it out, and plenty of people choose that. The quote can price both so you can decide.
